FAQs

How long will one bottle of Anipal Healthy Teeth & Gums Toothpaste last?

Depending on how often you brush your dog's teeth, one Anipal bottle will last 2-3 months.

Does Anipal Healthy Teeth & Gums Toothpaste contain peanut butter?

No, our toothpaste can be used by owners and dogs with peanut butter allergies, as it does not contain peanut butter but instead includes a natural peanut butter flavour.

How do I start brushing my dog's teeth?

We recommend you start familarising your dog with brushing their teeth when they are a puppy. Try making it as fun and enjoyable as possible and they will learn to love the one-on-one time with you!
Here are a few tips to make it easier. We recommend you do this process over a few weeks to familiarise your dog with the steps:
1. First put a dollop of toothpaste on your fingers and let your dog lick it off.
2. When your dog is feeling comfortable see if you can rub your finger with some toothpaste, gently over your dog's teeth.
3. When your dog is feeling comfortable, next let them lick some toothpaste from a soft toothbrush.
4. Let your dog become familiar with the toothbrush. When they are calm, start trying to brush your dog's teeth with the toothpaste. Only try this for a short time and make it as enjoyable as possible by giving your dog lots of pats and encouraging words.

What toothbrush or other tools should I use to brush my dogs teeth?

When first brushing your dog's teeth, we recommend getting a small soft child toothbrush. As your dog becomes more familiar with the process, you can move to an adult soft toothbrush.
